In cooperation with the Computer and Internet Center / Technical Training Division, College of Dentistry, held an electronic workshop (online) on the necessary painkillers in every home, with the participation of number of Academic staff and specialized researchers.
The workshop presented by M. Sumaya Abdul Ahmed and M. Asia Abd Ahmed to get to know the necessary pain relievers available at home under the current circumstances of Corona virus and the curfew.
The workshop included the definition of the term painkillers, their main types, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and paracetamol, their uses and side effects, as well as common types of painkillers, their dosages, different pharmacological forms, and the caveats for their use and methods of use for adults and children.
Center of Research and Studies at Al- Iraqia University held an electronic lecture entitled Psychological War and Covid-19, with participation of specialized professors from Arab and international universities.
The lecture presented by Prof. Dr. Aysir Khalil Al-Obaidi included several themes from the workshop, including determining the psychological impact of the virus that parallels the physical effect and its impact on the psyche of people on the behavioral side and the collective direction in the sense of fear, and the effect of the rapid and sudden virus attack on the behavioral immune system, which strengthens the virus in its psychological warfare Widely.
The lecture showed the role of traditional and digital media in promoting a sense of collective panic at times and spreading the fear infection according to internationally known behavioral theories that are spreading in times of crisis, including the 19-COVID.
Department of Life Sciences in College of Education, in cooperation with the Technical Training Division at the university organized a scientific symposium entitled Zoonotic bacterial disease, delivered by Assistant Prof. Dr. Khaled Mahmoud Hammadi, a Professor at College of Education, Department of Life Sciences.
The symposium included a brief of bacterial diseases that are common with humans and animals, , the lecturer mentioned that animals were and are still raised for protection, transportation, or as a source of food. On the other hand, animals are considered a source of infection and a means of transmission of more than 250 infectious diseases known as joint diseases, which can be defined as a group of diseases that affect animals and can be transmitted to humans and in different ways, these diseases may occur in the form of individual cases such as infection with Salmonella or collectively such as the Brucellosis epidemic or known as the Malta fever, as well as TB disease, Anthrax, Glanders and plague. … etc.
The symposium aims to know the proper ways to control and prevent common diseases
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Iraq, Assistant Professor Dr. Muwaffaq Shi’ite Alwan won two medals from the first scientific platform (ARID) because he is an initiator and the second is that he is an active member in the activities of the same scientific platform 2020.
Alwan indicated that the platform has awarded him medals to participate in the international scientific forum that he held in partnership with Al Iraqia University, as well as to those who participate annually at least one activity in the activities organized by the International Platform such as seminars, conferences, workshops, lectures, scientific forums, exhibitions, Reflecting the researcher’s personality and communicative interest in increasing knowledge, and building research relationships with scientists, experts and researchers.
He added that the (ARID) platform is an international non-profit scientific platform in which a number of researchers, experts and scholars who speak Arabic language participate, with the aim of sharing , exchanging experiences, and keeping abreast of developments in various fields in order to achieve growth and development in Arab society.
Journal of the North European Academy of Sciences and Scientific Research, published in Denmark, selected the teaching professor at Faculty of Media of Al- Iraqia University, Dr. Mohsen Aboud Kashkool, as a member of the advisory board for its research.
Dr. Mohsen Aboud Kashkool said that the Journal of the Academy of Northern Europe is one of the international journals that have a broad impact factor in the scientific and academic circles for specialized research in scientific and Humanities field.
He added that the magazine publishes original researches that represents an addition to the balance of humanities, which keeps pace with the latest developments towards upgrading the educational and research system besides community service, and is supervised by a staff of scientists and academics from various universities around the world to achieve required quality of scientific research.
