The Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department at Al- Iraqia University announced that scholarships for a PhD from the University of Southampton in  United Kingdom are available,  after receiving an official letter  from Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Dr. Duraid Yahya, Director of Cultural Relations and Scholarships Department at the university said that these scholarships included many different specializations, indicating that conditions for submission, fees of the scholarship and deadline for registration are available on the link in the official letter below.

The University Invites to Submit Applications to Return to Graduate Studies

Al- Iraqi University called on its graduate students who did not complete study requirements and who ended their relationship with study (due to failure or failure to complete the study requirements) to submit their applications to return to the study seats , on the private expenditure channel for the academic year 2020-2021.

Prof. Asst. Dr. Essam Mahmoud Mohammed, Director of Graduate Studies Affairs at the University Presidency, said that the ministry has issued an official letter in this regard that  requires the employees to bring a new study leave within a period of 60 days from date of return. He added that the decision included students who did not benefit from previous return decisions and applying according to the conditions and contexts in force.

Resumes Official Working Hours as Directed by Ministry and Crisis Cell

Under  direction of The Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Ali Saleh Al-Jubouri, and direct supervision of his Administrative Assistant, Professor Dr. Hassan Fadalah Musa Al-Tamimi, Al-Iraqia University started to resume official working hours according to the directions of the Crisis Cell, at the rate of 25{b951b79eb4917604cefc8861836cdd32bb02f5edf81dba1dda33ec08521dfd23} of the staff.

The Administrative Assistant also stressed that all preventive measures for the safety of employees should be followed, to test them during their entry to the university and avoiding the assembly in the staff rooms as possible. Director of the follow-up department, Mr. Samir Hussein Faraj, said that the department made a second round to examine the employees to ensure safety and preserve their lives to prevent the virus from spreading through field trips in their working room

His Excellency Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Sahib, accompanied by Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, Director General of Research and Development, reviews the progress of final electronic exams for graduate students in a meeting that included the heads of Iraqi universities via Internet.

The meeting was attended by the Rector of Al- Iraqia University, Prof. Dr. Ali Saleh Hussein, and the two assistants president of the University for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, to discuss and view the progress of electronic exams for graduate students at the university. His Excellency also met a student of College of Engineering at Al- Iraqia University and spoke with her about the procedures for the electronic examination, inquiring about the services provided by the electronic platform in conducting the examination, His Excellency also called for breaking the barrier of fear in front of undergraduates  and insisting on completing scientific research despite the pandemic of the Corona virus.

In turn, the Minister praised the efforts of the university presidency and its council, the procedures followed by the university in the service of its students and good management, and a discussion of the preparations provided by the university for his request for undergraduates.

Presidency of Al- Iraqia University has issued a guide for the use of  Admodo Platform for students, devoted to distance e-learning.

Assistant president of the university for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Khamis Awwad Zaidan, indicated that the Iraqi University issued this guide with the aim of giving a practical vision to our students about the technologies of this educational platform and the educational space that combines text, image and sound. Dr. Khamis indicated also that the aim of this guide came with many details that explain to the student in a simple way about the methods of using this platform, from subscription and log-in, and the techniques of sharing and downloading files, in a simple and adequate way to be an educational guide that makes it easier for our students to take electronic exams without error. Or confuse.

The Assistant Master stressed that this platform has brought together the Facebook platform and the Blackboard platform, to form an essential part in the integration of the e-learning stage in light of the spread of the Corona Virus pandemic, and to adapt to the current circumstance that the world in general and Iraq in particular.

Dr. Khamis emphasized that this platform has brought together the Facebook platform and the Blackboard platform, to form an essential part in the integration of the E-learning stage in light of the spread of the Corona virus, indicating that Al- Iraqia University is prepared fully to cooperate with the Ministerial Team to circulate the form that will be sent in the names of representatives of the team To find out any technical problems, if any, and provide the best solutions to them, with aim of achieving the best performance to pass the electronic exams with efficiency and high quality, and to encourage our students to success and graduation.
