Under the patronage of the Rector of Al-Iraqia University, Prof. Dr. Ali Saleh Al-Jubouri; College of Engineering at the Iraqi University held the fifth scientific conference for university research entitled “Our Scientific Product in Community Service” through Zoom Meeting application
The conference covered a presentation of a demonstration film for more than 76 projects in computer and network engineering, biomedical medicine, image processing, software coding, website building, governance, operating systems, maintenance, and industrial intelligence, as well as systems signals, optical communications, and optical signal processing. The conference aimed to encourage students of small projects, stimulate their creativity and excellence, organize graduation projects in research then publish them in international journals as carrying new scientific ideas and methods to raise the name of teaching staff, college and university.
The conference also recommended to support, encourage and transfer research projects with the applied side and implement them in the labor market and takes benefit to use in building a partnership with the public and private sector in order to provide more job opportunities for graduates within the private work sector.
Teaching Competence Committee at Al- Iraqia University continues to interview and giving exams to applicants to obtain a certificate of teaching validity (electronically).
International Universities Union announced of selection number of professors and directors of departments of Al-Iraqia University in the membership of the scientific committee of the electronic conference entitled (digital / electronic education – school and digital university between need and necessity), which will be held in October of this year. It is indicated that Al- Iraqia University has formally joins the International Association of Universities in late June, to participate in the scientific and academic events held by the Federation.

– Assistant Professor Qusai Nuri Radam and Dr. Raed Yousef Jihad in the membership of Scientific Committee.
– Assistant Professor Dr. Essam Mahmoud Ahmed, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Marzou, and Assistant Professor Dr. Jamil Hussein Al-Dhamen for the membership of Steering Committee.
Center of Research and Studies at the University held an electronic workshop on (Iraqi press coverage of the Corona pandemic) through the FCC application. The workshop, which was attended by Dr. Bushra Hussein Al-Hamdani, included the definition of concept of Iraqi press coverage of the pandemic , stages of its formation and launch, and media tracks adopted by Iraqi media in covering the pandemic.
Dr. Al-Hamdani revealed political, economic and social impact of the epidemic, which cast a shadow over the media, through a variation in press coverage, she also shed light on young people’s own efforts, their application of modern technologies, and their impartiality of events.
The workshop recommended that the media should play its role in raising awareness of the epidemic, not intimidation or underestimation, managing crises and confronting them, and avoiding all methods of intimidation.
Prof. Dr. Khamis Awad Zaidan, Assistant Rector of Al- Iraqia University for Scientific Affairs, and Dr. Dureid Yahya, Director of Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department, participated in the organizational meeting of the first scientific conference on applied computing to support the industry, innovation and technology.
Professor Dr. Khamis Awad Zaidan, said that the meeting dealt with the organizational issues and initial logistical preparations for the conference, which will be sponsored by the German publishing house (Springer) to be held early next year.
Dr. Zaidan added that the aim of the conference is to provide a strong system capable of operating in dynamic and changing environments, using the latest technology and advanced innovations in order to optimize application of science and technology.
Dr. Dureid Yahya, stressed that the importance of participating in organizational meetings comes to lay out a deliberate work plan for the success of the conference, pointing to the participation of a number of universities as sponsors of the conference, including ( University of Al Maaref Al-Gamiah, University of Salahuddin, University of Ishic) as well as the Union International University, which Al- Iraqia University recently joined, that leads to provide a stimulating research environment for researchers and research process in order to achieve the desired goals.
Council of Al Iraqia University held its ninth session, headed by Prof. Dr. Ali Saleh Hussein, Rector of the University, on Monday 6/29, in presence of all its members to discuss the its agenda. The Council discussed several important decisions, most notably, the exceptional extension of the duration of graduate students’, and their critical degrees.
The Council also approved many research plans submitted of researchers for academic year 2019-2020, as well as granting scientific promotions to teaching members, in addition to a set of administrative, scientific, and technical matters.
