University Rector Receives the Rector of Basrha University for Oil and Gas

Prof. Dr. Ali Saleh Al-Jubouri, University Rector, accompanied by the Administrative Assistant, Professor Dr. Hassan Fadala Al-Tamimi, received  Rector of Basrha University of Oil and Gas, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hillyal Al-Kaabi, at Presidency of Al- Iraqia University.

During the meeting, they discussed the universities ’preparation for new academic year 2020-2021, the ongoing preparations regarding blended education, and a plan to accommodate preparation of students of secondary school graduates according to the scientific requirements in order to serve the community.

At the end of meeting, Al-Kaabi expressed his appreciation for the presidency of the University, and its active role in  joint scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi, Arab and international universities.

Rector of Al Iraqia University Visits College of Administration and Economics

University Rector, Prof. Dr. Ali Saleh Hussein Al-Jubouri, accompanied by Administrative Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Fadala Musa Al-Tamimi, visited College of Administration and Economics, to see services and scientific level in the college. Dr. Al-Jubouri met Dean of College, Assist. Professor Dr. Hameed Ali Ahmed, to follow up necessary  preparations to ensure reception of the new academic year and to determine the level of services provided to students.

For his part, Dean of the College gave a detailed explanation about the provided services to students within the available capabilities, and the ongoing preparations in providing the necessary supplies and services for them. Rector of the University affirmed that more efforts will be made by the Deanship of the College and its faculty to improve the educational and service process together, emphasizing on the keenness to implement the Ministry’s instructions, advance the educational and research process, implement ministry’s plan towards the government program announced by His Excellency the Minister, and provide more efforts and employ all  capabilities to serve our students, as a promising young people and future leaders.

Minister of Higher Education Participates in Al- Iraqia University Council First Session

Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, participated in the first session of Al- Iraqia University Council activities for 2020/2021 academic year, and directed to get ready to organize all requirements for graduation of students and honor the top ones.

Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb chaired the University Council in presence of the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Ali Saleh Al-Jubouri, Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Tamimi, and Deans of the Faculties. The visit included an extended meeting with the University Council, during which a presentation of reality of work in its various aspects was discussed and several axes were discussed, including the amendment of students admission mechanism in evening studies and the extension of service and scientific promotions for some of the university’s teaching staff.

His Excellency listened also to the Deans’ proposals about university’s work system, curriculum development, broadcasting lectures online, and reducing the gap between university education and the needs of society in light of the spread of the new Corona virus pandemic .

Prof. Dr. Ali Saleh Al-Jubouri Rector of the University, welcomed Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb and his accompanying delegation, thanked them for  the visit, while the Minister praised the university’s performance and its distinguished academic programs.

Minister of Higher Education”Demonstrators who Demanding Jobs aren’t Redundant”

Minister of Education: (Demonstrators who demanding for  appointment are not  redundant and we are committed to enabling graduates to take up their jobs).

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb, also affirmed that demonstrators demanding for appointment are not surplus to need, but rather are victims of the accumulated ill-planning in energies investment.

In his speech before Al-Iraqia University Council, His Excellence  stated that Ministry of Education and its university institutions in which more than (sixteen thousand) contract employees performs their entrusted tasks and represents an actual need in universities and government institutes that deal with escalating inputs based on population growth.He also expressed the commitment of Ministry of Higher Education to deal firmly and earnestly with the file of higher degrees and first graduates in accordance with the contexts and legislation that allows state institutions to activate their job grades and enable different  segments of graduates to take up their jobs if appointments are launched.

Finally His Excellence  appreciated the effective engagement of private universities and colleges, which rushed to provide possible job opportunities for degree holders, and the positive endeavor to facilitate  the effects of current repercussions on this important segment.
