Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Iraq, Assistant Professor Dr. Muwaffaq Shi’ite Alwan won two medals from the first scientific platform (ARID) because he is an initiator and the second is that he is an active member in the activities of the same scientific platform 2020.
Alwan indicated that the platform has awarded him medals to participate in the international scientific forum that he held in partnership with Al Iraqia University, as well as to those who participate annually at least one activity in the activities organized by the International Platform such as seminars, conferences, workshops, lectures, scientific forums, exhibitions, Reflecting the researcher’s personality and communicative interest in increasing knowledge, and building research relationships with scientists, experts and researchers.
He added that the (ARID) platform is an international non-profit scientific platform in which a number of researchers, experts and scholars who speak Arabic language participate, with the aim of sharing , exchanging experiences, and keeping abreast of developments in various fields in order to achieve growth and development in Arab society.
Journal of the North European Academy of Sciences and Scientific Research, published in Denmark, selected the teaching professor at Faculty of Media of Al- Iraqia University, Dr. Mohsen Aboud Kashkool, as a member of the advisory board for its research.
Dr. Mohsen Aboud Kashkool said that the Journal of the Academy of Northern Europe is one of the international journals that have a broad impact factor in the scientific and academic circles for specialized research in scientific and Humanities field.
He added that the magazine publishes original researches that represents an addition to the balance of humanities, which keeps pace with the latest developments towards upgrading the educational and research system besides community service, and is supervised by a staff of scientists and academics from various universities around the world to achieve required quality of scientific research.
Al-Iraqia University participates in the first digital transformation conference for the virtual Coursera platform., Dr. Donia Wadih Saba ‘, Eng. Dr. Muhammad Munther, and M. Zina Tariq,Academic staff of College of Dentistry at AlIraqia University participated in this virtual international conference for the Coursera platform, a digital transformation of Higher Education through (zoom platform).
The conference, which included experts from the global platform (Coursera) and education experts, discussed the impact of COVID-19 on higher education and ways to upgrade universities to reach a higher level of education, in addition to the importance of adopting the strategy of digital transformation of universities.
In cooperation with the platform (Arid) for researchers and scholars speaking in Arabic Al Iraqia University has held the sixth international online conference, in three copies in Iraq, Malaysia and Algeria, over four consecutive days starting from 18-21 April, with the participation of more than 900 Arabic-speaking academic researchers from all over the world, that represents dozens of Arab, Islamic and international universities.
Prof. Dr. Ali Saleh Hussein Al-Jubouri said in the opening speech through Zoom program, that the conference aims to promote and continue scientific and technological progress in the service of society, and to give the prominent role to researchers in exchanging ideas, and to search for possible alternatives that ensure the continuation of learning process of and scientific researches, and Finding solutions to many research problems facing the whole world as the Corona pandemic.
Al-Jubouri added that the University was keen on organizing the sessions electronically this forum this year, with the support of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq, to be a motivation for all researchers to enrich the educational process with their research and their participation, and to be an addition to their accomplishments besides discuss the problems facing different sectors in all fields By increasing scientific production and activating inter-disciplinary studies, urging the university professors, with their ten scientific and humanitarian colleges, to interact with scientific research platforms, and to try to integrate and benefit from the sciences to apply them in a way that serves all humanity.
The cultural advisor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Jalil Munshid Khalaf, delivered a speech at Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research representation in Malaysia, in which he stressed the importance of establishing independent research centers concerned with solid scientific and humanitarian research, discussing various issues to serve the community, opening field in providing Arab and Iraqi universities with foreign expertise, providing advice in the field of scientific research, and providing Arab universities in international rankings.

Council of AlIraqia University held its seventh session, chaired by its Rector, Professor Dr. Ali Saleh Hussein al-Jubouri.
The Council discussed number of issues, including discussing the plan for admission to preliminary studies for university colleges for academic year 2020-2021, and many of Ministry’s recommendations, such as dealing with critical situations for graduate students and restoring dismissed students.
The council also discussed many minutes of the scientific promotion committees for some of the university’s teaching staff.
The Council recommended following up on the developments of E-learning in the light of the Corna virus pandemic by urging Academic staff to provide more efforts to continue the educational process.
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Ali praised the efforts made in establishing and organizing the sixth scientific conference in cooperation with the Arid Platform, and good participation in research and media coverage,It is worth mentioning thatlarge number of university Rectors and researchers
have participated in this international scientific forum.
