British Journal of Medicine and Medical Research has published a research for a teaching staff member at (COM) College of Medicine/ AL-Iraqia University Doctor Nawar Sahib Khalil.

It is titled "MedicalStudents Knowledge and Attitudes towards Self –Medication in Al – Iraqia University,Baghdad,Iraq"

Besides, the research concentrated on defining students' knowledge and their attitudes towards using and taking different types of medication without referring to the doctor in question, where he selected College of Medicine students from different academic years at AL-Iraqia University as case studies due to their converged culture to study their attitudes towards the topic.

The results of the study referred to the fact that more 50% of the samples have good knowledge with positive attitudes of not using medication despite differences of social and demographic factors among them.

Besides, this is considered to be one of the most important researches internationally as a result of spread of the phenomenon of taking medication without physician's prescription.

Defining the reasons and addressing them are significant matters that serve different fabric of society not only in Iraq but on a large scale as a result of convergence and similarities of environments and individuals' behaviors towards such topics.
