Dormitories Department hold lecture entitled (PSYCHOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL DIMENSIONS OF MASCULINITY AND FEMININITY)

Dormitories Department held a lecture to its students entitled (PSYCHOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL DIMENSIONS OF MASCULINITY AND FEMININITY) delivered by professor in Department of Psychology, College of Education Dr. Walid Mahmoud Qahtan.

Professor Walid defined terms of femininity and masculinity as an "exterior body of the man that Allah created it" and referred to the differences and advantages between the two terms, "and the concept of expectations, habits and motivations that distinguish women from men."

The lecturer focused on models that have correlation with personal qualities such as "emotional empathy" that leads to dropping and self-perception of us in the other model.

"Media plays a big role in acquisitioning human being's personal qualities and in possessing of or acquiring ability to apply the models as well as acquisitioning of new values, strengthening or erasing the existing values." Professor Walid said

"The Arab character is a significant and influential figure in the world, if we searched in the history of influencing figures globally, we would have found that it tops the list in this regard, but the deliberate distortion campaigns are the main reason for young Arabs and Muslims to be wandered and stray." Professor Walid added
